NINE months after Kiesha Abrahams's mother said she believed her daughter may have been abducted, she and her partner have been charged with the little girl's murder. The arrests of Kristi Anne Abrahams, 28, and Robert Terry Smith, 31, on what would have been Kiesha's seventh birthday came just hours before police discovered human remains, thought to belong to the child, scattered in a park near their home.
The pair were arrested at 1am yesterday as they were walking along a laneway near Peter Van Hasselt Park in the western Sydney suburb of Shalvey. The park leads to dense bushland, popular with dirt-bike riders.
A few hours later, officers discovered skeletal remains scattered at a number of locations off nearby Stoney Creek Road.
