"Caylee's Law" passes unanimously in Florida House.

--
The Florida House has unanimously approved a bill inspired by Caylee Anthony's death, proposing tougher penalties for lying to law enforcement about a child's whereabouts.
Wednesday, state representatives voted 113–0 to pass the bill originally known as "Caylee's Law."
Though the bill is closer to becoming law, the Senate version of the bill has one more stop before it goes for a full floor vote.
The law would make it a third-degree felony to intentionally lie to investigators about a missing child under 16 if that child turns up seriously injured or dead.
That means the penalty would be five years in prison for each false statement. The current penalty is just one year.
The bill was initially named for Caylee Anthony, whose mother, Casey, failed to report her missing for 31 days in 2008. The 2-year-old's remains were found six months later.
Casey Anthony was acquitted for her daughter's murder in 2011, though she was convicted of lying to investigators.
