Casey anthony: PI's strange behaviour..
ORLANDO --
As the Casey Anthony trial inches closer, a series of depositions is scheduled Monday at the Florida state Attorney's Office.
Among those scheduled to be deposed: Private investigator Dominic Casey, who worked for the Anthony family, and at one point Casey's defense team.
The private eye was seen on video searching the same location where Casey Anthony's 2-year-old daughter, Caylee's remains were eventually found in December 2008.
Dominic Casey was talking on the phone while searching the area, but who was on the other end of the phone conversation remains a mystery.
Various reports have named a psychic, Lee Anthony and Dominic Casey's daughter as possibilities.
Dominic Casey's deposition is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Monday.
Before the weekend, a local attorney signed onto the case late Friday to represent the private investigator.

We may learn about a highly irregular move by the judge -- court on a Saturday. It could happen this week.http://www.cfnews13.com/article/news/2011/march/224132/Casey-Anthony:-Private-eye-hired-by-defense-faces-questioning

Casey Anthony claimed the 'smell of death' found in the trunk of her car was from a decayed pizza...The McCanns claimed the ' smell of death found in the trunk of their car , hired AFTER Madeleine disappeared was from dirty nappies and rotting meat'....Neither mothers seemed concerned that this indicated their daughters may be dead which is a surprising reaction...

Ward of Court before adoption
Go through the process. OK, you've now found the child you want to adopt. Now you need to go through a whole process (it can take up to 2 years) of them working out if you're good parents, then seeing if the child accepts you and a whole load of other stuff. You also have to go to court quite a bit, since every child that is put up for adoption is made a Ward of Court before the adoption is final.

Time since death determinations of human cadavers using soil solution.
University of Tennessee, Department of Anthropology, Knoxville.
Abstract
This study was conducted to collect data on specific volatile fatty acids (produced from soft tissue decomposition) and various anions and cations (liberated from soft tissue and bone), deposited in soil solution underneath decomposing human cadavers as an aid in determining the "time since death."Seven nude subjects (two black males, a white female and four white males) were placed within a decay research facility at various times of the year and allowed to decompose naturally.
Data were amassed every three days in the spring and summer, and weekly in the fall and winter.
Analyses of the data reveal distinct patterns in the soil solution for volatile fatty acids during soft tissue decomposition and for specific anions and cations once skeletonized, when based on accumulated degree days.
Decompositional rates were also obtained, providing valuable information for estimating the "maximum time since death."
Melanin concentrations observed in soil solution during this study also yields information directed at discerning racial affinities. Application of these data can significantly enhance "time since death" determinations currently in use.

Casey Anthony Frye Hearings Enter Day 2
The defense also put several witnesses on the witness stand to talk about the the use of cadaver dogs, which are dogs that sniff for dead bodies.
According to witnesses, a cadaver dog alerted to a scent near the trunk of Anthony’s car and in three locations in the Anthonys' yard.
The defense hope to convince Perry the dog’s alerts are not reliable.

Casey's attorneys have claimed the police dogs were not reliable
ORLANDO --
Cadaver dogs are expected to be the hot topic during day two of a battle over which scientific evidence should be allowed in Casey Anthony's trial.
Casey's attorneys have claimed the police dogs were not reliable, and their handlers may have tipped them off in the search for Casey's 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
Shortly after Caylee disappeared in 2008, two dogs trained to detect decomposing bodies searched the Anthony family's backyard, as well as Casey's car.
Detectives said the dogs alerted them like they found something, but the defense questioned how they could know for sure that was really what they were signaling.
Caylee's remains were found in a wooded area near her family's home six months after she first disappeared.
Prosecutors want to prove her body was initially in the trunk of her mother's car, where one dog stopped and sat down, signaling an alert.
Casey's lawyers, however, said that's not real science.
